Death Valley ’49ers Encampment

The Death Valley ’49ers host the Annual Encampment each November to celebrate this pioneer spirit and this special place called Death Valley.  The Encampment includes entertainment, activities, informational and historical presentations, and plenty of music.

This year’s Encampment will be held November 8 – 11 at Longstreet Inn, RV Park and Casino due to the road damage in Death Valley from recent rainfall. An annual membership helps support the organization and allows admission to all the events.

Reservations for RVs, camping and lodging can be made by calling Ellen at Longstreet at 775.372.1777.  Online reservations are not available as the facility is being reserved for this event.

A benefit concert for the Amargosa Opera House is being held on Friday, November 10th from 7-9pm.  This concert features recording artist Kristyn Harris a multi award winning singer, songwriter and entertainer known for her western swing spin on original and classic songs of the western and rural lifestyle. In addition, there will be a presentation on the history of the Opera House and a meet and greet following the show.  Tickets are only $15.00 and seating is limited to 100 persons.
