Join Friends of the Amargosa Basin for a fabulous celebration honoring our adorable marsh neighbors, the Amargosa voles!
FRIDAY APRIL 19th
Join us for a fantastic sunset soiree at the elegant Evelyn Station House in Shoshone, where we’ll be mingling with fellow vole champions. We’ll meet there at 4:00 pm for Austin Roy, PhD to lead us on a short stroll to the Amargosa vole recovery site in the Shoshone Vole Marsh. Then we’ll return for tasty hors d’oeuvres and beverages, and a chat with world renowned scientist Janet Foley PhD, Principal Investigator on the Amargosa Vole Recovery Project. Afterwards we’ll serve you a special catered dinner by Steaks and Beer that you can enjoy while taking in the sunset and the brilliant glow of the Resting Springs and Nopah Mountains. SATURDAY MORNING APRIL 20th
If you are an EARLY riser and have always dreamed of having hands-on experience with small mammal scientists out in the field, then join Janet and her team for a magical sunrise adventure in the Tecopa Marsh, at an Amargosa Vole study site. We’ll provide coffee, tea, and more so you are fortified for this fascinating adventure! Spaces are limited! Tickets available HERE!
SATURDAY AFTERNOON
But wait, the fun doesn’t stop there! That afternoon, we’re throwing a FREE VoleFest party for our local and extended Amargosa Basin community at the Tecopa Community Center from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. There’ll be fabulous raffle prizes, delicious food, and fun activities lined up. Bring the kids! Plus, dive into fascinating updates about the incredible progress of the endangered Amargosa vole recovery!

What?! There’s more? YES!! Roll on over to the Death Valley Brewery at 6ish for an Amargosa Basin trivia party!Do you think you know all there is to know about the Amargosa Basin? Hah!
