Hi! I am the Program Director for Friends of the Amargosa Basin, and I live and work in Shoshone, California, a stoneβs throw away from Nevada. I aspire to be a lifelong desert enthusiast, advocating tirelessly for the health and vibrancy of desert lands and critters with my writing, photography, and overall passion. I βdiscoveredβ the Mojave in the Fall of 2017 on a class field trip while attending CSU Long Beach, and Iβve been spellbound ever since. Having recently finished my masterβs thesis on the western Joshua tree conservation debate in the Morongo Basin, Iβm aiming to bring such introductory knowledge and experience to Friendsβ campaign for an Amargosa Basin National Monument, while learning tremendously more about the region and communities on both sides of the border.
